    Professor Nobuo Mishima of the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture invited three students from the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien), one of the universities with which our university has an academic exchange agreement, to participate in an international exchange program as part of the International Partnership Education Program of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering.

    Eight fourth-year students from the Architectural Design Course, Faculty of Science and Engineering, participated in a short-term study program at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) from September 1 to 17, 2025. In the first half of the program, they conducted site visits and surveys in Drosendorf, a city where TU Wien’s Regional Planning Laboratory is engaged in community development projects. In the latter half, they took part in an international student seminar organized by the Japan–Austria Science Exchange Center (JASEC).

    Professor Masato Tominaga, the Department of Chemistry and Applied Chemistry, accepted two graduate students from Gandhigram Rural Institute in India, and one graduate student and one undergraduate student from the Surabaya Institute of Technology in Indonesia, for a nine-day program as a Collaborative Research Activity Course supported by the Japan Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science "Sakura Science Program" of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).

    On December 4, 2024, Professor Kazuya Sato, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, and Professor Masato Tominaga of the Department of Chemistry and Applied Chemistry, visited the Kalimantan Institute of Technology, Indonesia, to renew the academic collaboration agreement between faculties. Both professors gave invited lectures at an international seminar held at the university to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the agreement.
