On Friday, February 21, 2025, we will be holding a tour of Saga University for sixth grade students, teachers, and parents from Rokkaku Elementary School and Suga Elementary School in Shiroishi Town. In the morning, the students will visit the laboratories of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Science and Engineering, to see cutting-edge research in the fields of communications, semiconductors, AI, and system control. In the afternoon, they will tour the University's unique facilities, including the Museum of Art and the Library.

On December 4, 2024, Professor Kazuya Sato, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, and Professor Masato Tominaga of the Department of Chemistry and Applied Chemistry, visited the Kalimantan Institute of Technology, Indonesia, to renew the academic collaboration agreement between faculties. Both professors gave invited lectures at an international seminar held at the university to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the agreement.

Professor Masashi Unno and Associate Professor Tomotsumi Fujisawa, Department of Chemistry and Applied Chemistry and their colleagues have elucidated the molecular structure of RcaE, a representative member of the photosensors, in the green-absorbing state. They also clarified the mechanism that controls the wavelength of absorbed light by quantum chemical calculations, and published their findings in Science Advances.
